Overview
Blends the comforts of coupe and sedan
The 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan is a 4-door sedan, available in front-wheel drive (FWD) and five-seater configuration. It blends the performance of the Si Coupe with the space and convenience of a sedan. The “Si” in Honda Civic Si stands for "Sport Injected".

For 2007, the Honda Civic Si has also been introduced in the sedan body-style, in addition to the coupe.

It comes with a limited warranty of one year or 12,000 miles and a powertrain warranty of seven years or 100,000 miles.

Built on the FF layout, the Honda Civic Si Sedan competes with the Mazda MAZDA3 Touring 4-Door, Volkswagen New GTI 2.0T Sedan, and the Volkswagen Jetta Sedan GLI.

Engine and Performance
A rocker 2.0L In-line 4
The 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan is powered by a 2.0-liter In-line 4-cylinder engine that delivers 197 hp @ 7,800 rpm and 139 lb-ft. of torque @ 6,100 rpm.

The engine generates power by multi-point fuel injection (MPFI) and is mated to a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission.

The sedan gives a fuel mileage of 23 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

Walk-around
Exudes style and charm
The 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan stands on a wheelbase of 106.3 inches and measures 176.7 in length. Its striking exteriors are marked by its aerodynamic, aggressive shape, which is accentuated by stylish 17-inch alloy wheels.

Its front fascia is marked by a short nose and a wide, low front-end that features a large radiator and cooling air intakes for the engine and front brakes. Its front is further highlighted by a distinctive body-colored grille that bears the Honda insignia and the Si badge.

Its rear is adorned by bright and stylish tail-lights, an exclusive wing spoiler that provides added aerodynamics, a body-color bumper that prevents scratches, and a chrome-tipped exhaust finisher, which adds a sporty look.

The 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan rolls on standard 17-inch alloy wheels and P215/45 R17 87V All-season tires.

It is available in a host of hot colors such as Fiji Blue Pearl, Galaxy Gray Metallic, Habanero Red Pearl, Nighthawk Black Pearl, Rallye Red, Taffeta White, and Alabaster Silver Metallic.

Comfort, Controls and Convenience
Packed with comfort features
The 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan offers comfortable, spacious interiors loaded with convenience features. It can seat up to five passengers comfortably and comes with fabric-trimmed deep-bolstered seats that are as comfortable as they are stylish. It also comes with standard driver's seat with manual height adjustment, reclining front seatbacks, adjustable head restraints, and 60/40 split fold-down rear seatback. The wide rear seat has also got an armrest and heater ducts.

Some interior features standard on the Honda Civic Si Sedan are air conditioning with air-filtration system, power windows, power door locks, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob, 12-Volt power outlets, rear window defroster with timer, cargo area light, remote fuel filler door release, and remote trunk release with lock.

The leather-trimmed, 3-spoke steering wheel features built-in audio and cruise controls. It can be adjusted according to the driver’s convenience and also offers safety, courtesy a tilt and telescopic steering column.

The sedan comes with a whole lot of storage options such as a large glove compartment, front door-pocket storage bins and center console that includes a storage compartment. Refreshments can be kept in beverage holders.

The Si features a unique two-tiered instrument panel with red backlighting. The instrument panel includes tachometer, digital odometer and digital trip meters, maintenance minder system, exterior temperature indicator, fuel and coolant temperature indicators, low-fuel and low-oil pressure indicators, door/trunk-open indicators, passenger-side airbag-off indicator and front passenger airbag-off indicator.

The Civic Si Sedan is available with the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice-recognition.

With a cargo volume of 12.0 cubic feet, the car can carry a modest amount of cargo. Its fuel tank can hold a maximum of 13.2 gallons of fuel.

For entertainment, it comes standard with 350-Watt AM/FM/XM Ready/CD Premium Audio System with seven speakers including sub-woofer, MP3/Windows Media Audio (WMA) Playback Capability, and MP3/Auxiliary Input Jack. The XM Satellite Radio offers more than 170 digital channels of music, news, sports, traffic, weather, and entertainment.

Driving Impressions
Fun to drive
Under the hood of the 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan lays an advanced 2.0-liter In-line four-cylinder engine that produces a powerful 197 hp. Even with this capacity, the car remains underpowered under 6,000 rpm. The lack of power is especially annoying while cruising on the highway.

The engine is teamed up with a close-ratio, 6-speed manual transmission with helical limited-slip differential. At times, the MT exhibits lack of response. However, shifting gears is a pleasure, courtesy of the short-throw gearbox and easy-to-use clutch.

The car is maneuvered by an electric power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, which offers precise and immediate responses.

It rides on McPherson strut front suspension and Multi-link rear suspension. The suspension system makes for a smooth, jerk-free ride.

Responsive power-assisted ventilated front disc and solid rear disc brakes provide forceful stopping power to the car’s wheels.

With a turning diameter of 35.4 feet, it does not pose much problem to be driven or parked in crammed spaces.

Safety
All for your protection
With Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure and side-impact door beams, the Honda Civic Si Sedan braces itself against any possible mishaps. ACE body structure improves the car’s impact compatibility with different-sized vehicles.

It also comes with a bevy of safety features such as active front head restraints, 3-point seat belts with pre-tensioners, Daytime Running Lights (DRL), dual-stage dual-threshold front airbags, front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS), side curtain airbags, and Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) mounting system for use with compatible child seats.

Also standard are Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), and wave key and immobilizer system.
